As of right now I'm still learning about the blogosphere. This is a diary of sorts, but you can be privy to the happenings in my life as well!

Attempting an Organized Life
I have pretty much always been messy. As a teenager my parents joked they could never see my floor. In some cases I'm a closet organizer. I love to get things all organized at the beginning of something big, but I quickly run out of steam keeping it up. Tim and I want to start a family. I am really afraid we will have a baby and I will keep up my bad habits. I want to start getting organized and stay that way. I not only want to do this because little things on the floor go into babies' mouthes, but I also want to pass on good habits to my children. So I have had this book for awhile now. "One Year to an Organized Life". I remember hearing about it coming out and being so excited and pre-ordering it. Well I got it and tried it out a little. Tim and I were discouraged by having to buy things to organize our stuff. At the time we were barely making ends meet. Now we are doing a lot better in the finances area. So I want to give it a go. There are a lot of chances to journal throughout this book. So maybe I will kill two birds with one stone by starting this book, and starting a regular pace on my blog. Forgive me... I'm a bit of a newbie at both!

I wanted to offer my encouragement as you begin this journey to being organized. What a beautiful gift to give a child!
ReplyDeleteIf you purchase good quality organizing tools, they will be with you forever. They can also be used in creative ways around the house so don't limit yourself.
People think staying organized requires a lot of work. it doesn't. You are re-directing your energies really. it doesn't take any longer to put keys in one designated holder than it does to fling them into the environment. But the time you save not having to search for them is invaluable. It doesn't take more time to hang something up than it does to let it drop on the floor or a chair. But the ability to wear it again and always know where it's located saves you time (no searching or ironing!) and energy. These are but two examples.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me. I'd be delighted to help.
Blessings,
